We are proud of the written manuals, checklists, and guides that we have developed to ensure that all franchisees have an opportunity to operate as efficiently as possible from day one.
2. National Food Agreements
We leverage the bulk buying power of all D.P. Dough restaurants to negotiate discounted price agreements with food manufacturers, distributors, and other vendors. Currently, we have discounted manufacturer prices for meats, dough, bags, boxes, sauces, and a many other items. Franchisees are also eligible to receive incentive bonuses based on their purchases from our national distributor.
20 Days In a D.P. Dough + Online Classes + 18 Days On Site
The purpose of training in Ohio is to immerse yourself into the D.P. Dough culture so that you can become a professional at answering phones, making calzones, opening and closing the store, and doing all other tasks that are necessary to the basic operation of the restaurant. After Ohio, you will train for another 10 days at an approved D.P. Dough. You will complete about 20 online classes which consist of videos and quizzes. We provide you with hands on assistance at your location for 18 days around your grand opening.
4. Marketing Support
The 1% D.P. Dough Advertising Fund kicks in when the 30thstore opens. Prior to that, we have created an early advertising fund where franchisees can opt in early and receive benefits of the ad fund early. Presently, the advertising fund provides the following services: 1) graphic design, 2) national social media, 3) email campaigns, 4) marketing research and development, 5) creative marketing (video game and rapping calzone mascot) and 6) website. The advertising fund also provides optional management of local Facebook and Instagram pages for a fee.
The Intranet is the hub of communication between D.P. Dough Franchising and D.P. Dough Franchisees. It hosts key documents for store operations, a graphic design library that can be customized for your store, an owner’s discussion forum, and links to important D.P. Dough information.
6. Ongoing Profitability Coaching
All new D.P. Dough locations work with our VP of Franchise Operations to make your new D.P. Dough location as profitable as it can be. You will have recurring weekly phone calls with the profitability coach for the first year of business, decreasing in frequency as needed.
