D.P. Dough is based on great business systems, and these systems are the keys to your success as a business owner. But we don’t stop there! Being a part of the D.P. Dough Family means national food agreements with suppliers to save you money, robust training before you open and ongoing profitability coaching once you’re up and running, marketing support and materials, and an owners-only intranet that ties all of it together in a handy online portal. 1. Systems

We believe in making decisions based on research and data. We also believe in making it as easy as possible for your employees to do the right thing once your D.P. Dough opens. We are proud of the written manuals, checklists, and guides that we have developed to ensure that all franchisees have an opportunity to operate as efficiently as possible from day one.

2. National Food Agreements

We leverage the bulk buying power of all D.P. Dough restaurants to negotiate discounted price agreements with food manufacturers, distributors, and other vendors. Currently, we have discounted manufacturer prices for meats, dough, bags, boxes, sauces, and a many other items. Franchisees are also eligible to receive incentive bonuses based on their purchases from our national distributor.

3. Training

10 Day Immersion Training in Athens, Ohio.
The purpose of training in Ohio is to immerse yourself into the D.P. Dough culture so that you can become a professional at answering phones, making calzones, opening and closing the store, and doing all other tasks that are necessary to the basic operation of the restaurant.

Online Training Program
Prior to your grand opening, you will complete online video based training classes on business, marketing, and operations topics. This training will provide you with the basic knowledge necessary to properly operate a D.P. Dough.

19 Days of On-Site Training Opening Support at your location
D.P. Dough provides a substantial amount of on-site support for new franchisees, including 5 days of on-site training for owners and managers, 5 days of on-site training for new employees, and 9 days of soft opening, grand opening, and first weekend support. You will have a member of the D.P. Dough executive team on-site helping you in your D.P. Dough for the first 5 days of regular business.

4. Marketing Support

Currently, with no national advertising fund in effect, D.P. Dough Franchising provides brand consistent graphic designs, in-store signage, national Twitter management, automated Facebook Zone of the Day posting assistance, and local best practices for marketing. Once the ad fund is in effect, D.P. Dough Franchising will serve as an in-house marketing department to support franchisees, in addition to providing engaging, demographic-relevant content through social media.

5. Intranet

The Intranet is the hub of communication between D.P. Dough Franchising and D.P. Dough Franchisees. It hosts key documents for store operations, a graphic design library that can be customized for your store, an owner’s discussion forum, and links to important D.P. Dough information.

6. Ongoing Profitability Coaching

All new D.P. Dough locations are assigned a profitability coach to work with the owners to make the new location as profitable as it can be. The profitability coach will work with you on-site in your location for the first five days of business following your grand opening. After that, you will have recurring phone calls with the profitability coach for six weeks. In addition to working with new owners, the D.P. Dough profitability coach also assists existing D.P. Dough locations with profitability and operations issues.
